English Privacy Policy

Domino Image Viewer is a local-first macOS image viewing and comparison app. Its core features include browsing, previewing, comparing, cropping, resizing, inspecting metadata, and exporting image files. The app only accesses content that you explicitly choose to open or authorize through macOS permissions.

1. Information the app may process

  1. Images, folders, and file paths that you choose to open or authorize.
  2. Local working data used for image workflows, such as thumbnails, previews, metadata indexes, and temporary processing files.
  3. Local app preferences, such as startup folders, UI language, comparison layout, cache settings, and quick-access items.
  4. Security-scoped bookmarks stored locally on your Mac so the app can restore access to folders that you previously approved.

2. How the app uses that information

  1. To provide browsing, preview, synchronized comparison, pixel inspection, crop, resize, and export features.
  2. To improve performance by caching thumbnails and previews locally for files you revisit.
  3. To remember folders and workspace settings that you already approved, reducing repeated permission prompts.
  4. To maintain local cache and temporary data required for normal app operation on your device.

3. Where data is stored

  1. The information above is stored locally on your Mac, including system cache locations, app support locations, and local preferences storage.
  2. Core features do not require an online account and do not upload your selected images, folders, metadata, or caches to developer-operated servers.
  3. The app does not sell your personal data and does not share it for targeted advertising.

4. What the app does not do

  1. It does not require account registration or sign-in for core functionality.
  2. It does not include advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, or developer telemetry services.
  3. It does not automatically upload your local images to the developer, and it does not use your files for AI model training or marketing.
Permissions and user control

You can revoke file access through macOS Privacy & Security settings, clear local caches, remove saved folder authorizations, or uninstall the app. Doing so may remove local thumbnail caches, quick-access folders, and certain stored preferences.
